Today I want to talk about something many women struggle with, and that's trying to walk in someone else's shoes. You know what I'm talking about. You know what I mean. We compare our past to others and wonder why we don't seem to fit just right. It's like trying on shoes that are too big, too small or just not our style. But here's the truth. God has ordered our steps and he's got shoes that are perfectly fitted just for you. Psalm 37, 23 in the NIV tells us the Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. This means that God has a unique plan for each of us. Your path is not a copy of someone else's. It's perfectly designed just for you, just like shoes that are tailor-made. Your calling and purpose are fitted to your exact size. The key is trusting that God knows the exact fit for your life and walking confidently in that.

Here's the problem. So many of us are trying to wear shoes that aren't ours. We look around and see others succeeding and we think that must be the way. We end up stepping into someone else's shoes because we think theirs will fit us. The truth is, when we try to walk in shoes that don't fit us, we feel uncomfortable, out of place and unsteady. We get tired, frustrated and discouraged because we're not walking the path God designed just for us. So what would it look like if you stopped trying to fit in someone else's shoes and instead embrace the pair God has just for you? And when you walk in the shoes God has prepared for you, you move with confidence and purpose. You're equipped with the gifts and strength to fulfill the anointing and call he's placed on your life. Your journey is not anyone else's. It's your divine destiny path.
