In 22 minutes, Summer Dey lost everything she had built—and the fallout shook her identity, mental health, and body. In this deeply honest conversation, she shares her journey through depression, anxiety, PTSD symptoms, panic disorder, and seizures, along with the biblical forgiveness process she believes led to true freedom and healing. Summer reveals how unfinished forgiveness, self-judgment, and bitterness can keep us bound, why a diagnosis does not have to become our identity, and what it means to release judgment back to God. She also shares how “leave the how to God” helped her overcome fear, step into her calling, and grow a global Bible-reading movement through books, television, and Faith on Fire events.

Meet Summer Day And Her Story

SPEAKER_02

to the Hope Unlocked podcast. I'm Kristen Kurtz, your host. I pray this episode is like a holy IV of hope for your soul. Please help me welcome Summer Day to the show. I'm so excited to have her here today. I feel like it's been a long time coming. I also feel like I've known her forever because I was introduced to her a long time ago from a dear friend named Marsha. So thank you, Marsha, for the connection. But to have her here today is just a blessing because I know that she's going to have so much goodness to share with you guys. So before we get into your story and what you've been doing, could you share a little bit about yourself? I know there's a lot to share, but what would you like to share about yourself?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I usually tell people I'm nobody special. I'm just a girl who gave God her yes and tries to wake up every day and keep giving God her yes. And I feel like the bigger the yes, the more he usually kind of astounds you. If you want to know a little bit about me, I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I'm the only girl of seven children. I have six brothers, which is why I'm so feisty and tough and competitive and

Betrayal, Miscarriage, And Identity Loss

SPEAKER_00

all those other things.

SPEAKER_01

I love it.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm sure we'll get into some of my story, but up until about six, seven years ago, I was kind of on one path with the Lord. I was a successful seven-figure business owner and had had a company I started from the ground up for 12 years. And then in 22 minutes, I don't know if you know this, Kristen, but everything for my whole life got stolen from me. So I actually was betrayed by my board of directors. And in a 22-minute board meeting, they took everything. And I'll never forget staring in the faces of betrayal, literally. And I had like out-of-body experience, you know, when you're looking down on your life and it's not really happening to you. And that started me on a journey of like severe depression, anxiety. I lost my whole identity. I when I say I lost everything, so I lost the company I built from the ground up. I also had another business that I lost, and I lost a child, I lost a baby. I had a miscarriage in the hospital. And so I was literally like laid out, ground zero. I had no idea who I was, what I was going to do with my life. And God always knows better. During that season, I rebuilt myself and just gave my yes to God repeatedly. And you asked me earlier, like, you know, did you know you were going to do all these things? And I said, No. I had a very clear path in one direction. And then God flipped everything upside down and changed it all. And I don't always share that. So I just feel like there's got to be somebody listening to this right now where maybe you're in that season. You know, this is hope unlocked, just feeling like really hopeless, and the depression and the anxiety is kind of pulling you down. I just really hope my story will inspire hope in you that no matter how dark the clouds are, God is above it. And the light is shining, even if you can't see it. And and God doesn't waste things. Like I really thought my whole life was over. The only thing I ever wanted to do, completely stolen from me. And God just He knows better and He's gonna give you better. And so I just pray that that that restores wherever

Seizures, PTSD, And Forgiveness Breakthrough

SPEAKER_00

you're at. And when I tell you like depression, everything, I mean, I went through seasons where depression, anxiety, and everything was so bad. I had like severe PTSD, I had panic disorder, I was having actually trauma seizures every day. I mean, it was a lot.

SPEAKER_02

People asked you had you ever experienced anything like that before, like any you know, depression throughout your life, any anxiety, anything you had previews for that as well?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I had been in a big season of betrayal and depression, anxiety, all of that. And actually, I started having seizures. I didn't know it was a seizure because all I knew was like movie seizures, right? And those are those big grand malls. Well, apparently there's 40 kinds of seizures, and one is called myoclonic jerks. And so the first time it was like my body uncontrollably, just all of it jerked really fast once, almost like you feel like you're falling out of bed or standing straight up.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I was like, what the heck just happened to my body? And then two weeks later it happened again, and two weeks later it happened again, and then the next day it happened, and eventually it was happening like 20 times a day. So at the height, I was having like 20 seizures a day, and multiple kinds of seizures started to happen. I went to the Amen Brain Clinic, and that is a completely different story. I was I was telling you, I have a course on forgiveness. Yeah. So the first time that I walked through all of that and went to the brain clinic for three days, got on all the meds, got on all the stuff, the way that I got healed completely was through forgiveness. I had had some really traumatic stuff that had happened to me, and my physical body and like my spirit were at battle. And that's what was happening with the panic attacks, and that's what was happening with the seizures and everything. And I had a beautiful lady that I was doing counseling with who walked me through forgiveness more than just like, hey, I forgive you. Like I'd said I forgave this person, and I didn't realize that I needed more. I just sometimes I'd even try to say I forgive you, and I would go mute. Some of my seizures actually caused me to lose the ability to speak for hours at end. Yeah, it's called um, I think it's called an absence seizure. Sorry if I got that one wrong, but multiple times like I went catatonic. I mean, everything, it was crazy. And that season in my life was about four years before this, before the um stolen company and everything.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And I walked through written forgiveness work, biblically based written forgiveness work, and in three and a half weeks, all of it stopped. And it was I got off all medication, no more seizures, no more panic disorder, no more anything. And it was gone for four years, for four years, completely seizure-free, all of it. Yeah, through the power of forgiveness. And so I was telling you before you hit record, yeah, it caught it's the reason I became a coach. So the reason I actually started becoming a coach was years later, the lady who had taught me passed away. And I had a friend who was like, Hey, I'm struggling with this. And I was like, I think it's unforgiveness. And I walked her through the same process. And then was like a week later, another friend, hey, I think that's unforgiveness. And a week later, another friend. And eventually I felt like I heard God say, When are you gonna pick up her mantle? And I didn't know anybody that was teaching what she taught me. And so I called her husband. I got some of this, I got, you know, his he gave me his blessing to do it, and I got some of the scriptures to go with it. And that's how I started my coaching program was I just knew I needed to walk women through unforgiveness in this powerful biblical way. And since then, in the last like six years, I've led like thousands and thousands of people through it. We've seen so many miracles. I I had a lady who lost 24 pounds in like 60 days just from forgiveness work. We had another lady who she confessed like this secret addiction that she had, and the addiction went away from forgiveness. We've had women who um had SA who were abused. A girl who was abused when she was eight years old could not, she's a grown woman, could not sleep in the dark, could not fall asleep. She would have to pass out at like two, three, four in the morning. And all of that went away when she walked through the forgiveness. So I really, really, really believe in the power of biblical forgiveness

Free Power To Forgive Training

SPEAKER_00

work. So I think I told you recently the Lord had me release it. So up until now, you had to coach with me. Okay. Uh, and that was the only way I wouldn't even do it at live events because it's a very kind of involved process. And I never wanted anyone to start it and not finish it, you know, because I feel like the enemy can get a wedge in there if you're starting and then you stay in that place of unforgiveness. I felt the lord really press upon me to just release it, that millions of people out there could be helped. It's uh it's a five-part video series, it's a five-part training, so it's completely free. I'd love to bless anybody listening. You just go to powertoforgive.com. Powertoforgive.com will give you access, free access to all five parts of the training. But you have to promise me that you take it serious and you do it and you finish because I've never seen anyone finish it and not have just really incredible results. And we've had men do it too, we've had men do it, just so many different people and the people that they've walked through forgiveness for. So I was walking.

SPEAKER_02

Somebody's listening right now, and you know, they feel like, well, I've I've already forgiven, you know. It's I've actually had a conversation with somebody recently about some of this. And what would you say to somebody that like kind of what's the litmus test? Maybe they're not having seizures, maybe they're not having like health issues or or what have you. What might be some indications that maybe they haven't fully forgiven?

SPEAKER_00

I would say if if they're feeling like frustrated, if they're feeling like, well, I've already forgiven, but they don't feel at peace about it, I feel like when in doubt, just go through the course. And also, believe it or not, a lot of times we forgive the other person. And there's parts of our own involvement where we're not forgiving ourselves. And to be honest with you, when I walk women through this in my coaching program, before they work on forgiveness for anybody else, they do the forgiveness work for themselves. That's where I start now. When I it even the woman who, let's say she was sexually assaulted, I'm gonna have her start on forgiveness work for herself. And it's really powerful how God will work through that. And a lot of times the women feel like by the time they get to the person, they almost already feel like they have worked through the forgiveness. And I always have to say this forgiving somebody never ever, ever excuses what they did. It never makes it right, it doesn't make it okay, it doesn't like none of that. Forgiveness really just sets you free. I like to say what forgiveness does, you guys, is the Bible's very clear, right? That like we are not to sit on the throne of judgment, right? That's God's throne and that's his position. And when we choose to walk through the biblical forgiveness, it's us saying, Okay, Lord, I remove myself from the throne of judgment and I'm allowing you to be there. And I'm putting this person in front of you. It is your responsibility. Like that's what you're doing. You're you're taking yourself, removing yourself out of the situation and just going, okay, this person's been handed over to the Lord. And part of the beautiful thing is if you read God's word, you know, Jesus says to Peter, forgive 70 times seven. And this is like a really, really, really big deal, you guys. And unforgiveness not only keeps you stuck, it really separates you in a lot of ways from fully being connected to the Lord. And I think that's probably the most beautiful part is you remove that and it's like Jesus can fill you. And it's really, really beautiful. And there's so many people that don't realize anger, bitterness, stuff like that is attached to that unforgiveness. And you don't realize you're carrying it. And when it goes away, it is so beautiful. And I after this happens, like I see women, especially, I work a lot with women, just they fall in love with themselves. It's like all of these blinders are removed and they're able to fully walk in their identity and who God created them to be and really love themselves. So unforgiveness, it it really is keeping the person in bondage and chained in so many ways.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, thank you so much for this resource. Can you tell us what the website is again?

SPEAKER_00

And I'll be sure to put it in the yeah, it's power powertoforgive.com.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, sounds good. So everybody go who's listening, go check it out, go sign up. And what is the best way for them to maybe say they completed it? Is there like, do you have a social media?

SPEAKER_00

Like I like, even as you're saying that, I'm like, I gotta have something. You gotta have something. Yeah, I don't know. I gotta make it so like the last email maybe sends out a forum or completion or something. I think that's a really good idea because it's so new. Like I said, we just released it. Yeah, um, I think that's like a really great idea because I would love to celebrate and pray over anybody that's walking through it. And I have to say, I was frustrated because I thought I had forgiven this person. I thought I was walking in forgiveness, and that's why it's power to forgive, because I really believe these tools and the the biblical side of it, it gives somebody finally that power to forgive that maybe was missing and to help you not feel bad, like what's wrong with me? I said I forgave, but it keeps coming up and I don't feel over it. And the other thing is like forgiveness is a is a daily choice. And I've watched through forgiveness with some people way more than once. It's like a year later, and I'm like, I already forgave them. Well, that was a year ago. You got some more work to do. So it continues to be something that I always lean on, my clients lean on. There's always new levels.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, thank you for saying that too, because I feel like you know, there's there's certain people from my past too that I've had to like, okay, we're doing this again, we're forgiving again, and we're releasing them again. Because I think sometimes, you know, maybe somebody's like, Oh, I've done it once, we're good to go.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. No, we continue to life and there continues to be flawed humans and continues to be stuff. And usually I just say, let yourself be the compass. Like, are you able to encounter that person with peace, regardless of what they do? That is the ideal state that I work for myself to be in, and I'm not perfect. And for my clients to be in, is you're so just free of all of that, and you know who you are, and you can encounter people without allowing whatever they choose to be affect affect you. You can stay in the grace of the Lord, you can stay in the peace in your life with different encounters. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_02

Well, thank you. So I wanted to get back to you know, you had this journey of having a business for 12 years, and everything

Epilepsy Diagnosis And Healing Moment

SPEAKER_02

just kind of unexpected, right? The unexpected flip of your life. And you came into this season of you know, having depression and anxiety, right? How did you come out of that? Like, what did the Lord do? We'd love to hear it's really fun.

SPEAKER_00

So this year around, I you know, I'm teaching forgiveness, I'm walking through all this stuff, and it there were so many layers, and I kept waiting for like my seizures and stuff to stop, and they weren't. And I got to this place where I was kind of frustrated, and then I had been having them for over a year, and someone's like, I think you need to get tested. I got tested this time, no more tests. I was officially twice diagnosed with epilepsy. One doctor tried to claim I had it as a child, and I'm like, no, and I did not receive the diagnosis. I repeatedly for the next two years told anyone who would listen. I told people on podcasts, I told people on my social media, I said, I've been diagnosed with epilepsy, but God's gonna heal me. I don't know when or where, but he's gonna do it. And so I want to encourage you if you're listening. I preach a lot about not being married to labels, to diagnosis, the death and life is in the power of the tongue, Proverbs 18, 21. It's probably one of the number one things I preach on. And the way you phrase your words is really important. I never declared over myself I'm an epileptic, never, not once. I always said I've been diagnosed with. And so if you're believing on the word for healing, you've got to start speaking into that and watch how the Lord will come into agreement. So it took about two years, and of course, they wanted to put me on all kinds of medication, and it was not a very good time walking through all the different things that I was walking through with the seizures. But I kept saying, God's gonna heal me, and then he did. And I was at a business conference, I was at 100X with Pedro Dale, and my first time didn't really know what to expect that morning. So I have a book, I have a couple books. They're uh they're called uh Year of Miracles, and they have miracle stories in them. And of course, later it got turned into a TV show. So I actually have a TV show where I interviewed 52 people who have miracles and signs and wonders in their life. I interviewed people who've been healed. Like this guy had 500 people healed of AIDS in Africa. A woman had her baby who had a tumor healed in the womb, people healed out of wheelchairs, all kinds of amazing stories. Well, I was gathering stories for that book. So I posted on my social media who has a story of being miraculously healed, and people were commenting. Eight hours after I posted that, I walk in to this service, and there was a guy preaching on stage. I was late, wasn't really paying attention, kind of came over to the side in the front with my friend. And once I was there, he said, I know I'm over time, but I just need two more minutes. The Lord's told me he wants to heal somebody who has something going on with their brain. And you've had like all these tests and all these things, and they're not figuring it out. And I remember, Christian, I was looking around, going, hmm, there's a thousand people here. I wonder who he's talking about. Oh, there's 4,000 people watching online. It's probably one of them. And as I'm looking around, the Holy Spirit burned me head to toe with fire and said, It's you. And I'm like, What? So for two years, I'm waiting for my healing, waiting for my healing, and I'm almost missing my healing because I'm like, Who is it? And so I'm telling you, I was like paranoid in that moment. I was like, no, no, no, no, it can't be me. And I got afraid to go forward. And the Holy Spirit just kept burning me and was like, get up there. And I'm like, no, I think I also was afraid. I was afraid, what if I did go forward and I wasn't healed? And so it was like a force beyond me, moving me forward. And only because I've seen videos do I even really remember what happened. But I know he prayed for me and I fell on the ground. They got me up. He prayed for me again. I fell on the ground. A third time I fell on the ground, I did not get up. And I started feeling almost like hot hands, like my head started tingling, and I knew I was being healed. I was like, I'm on the ground rocking back and forth, going, I don't know what's going on right now, but I keep it coming. This on my head, just like ding, ding, ding, ding, pins and needles everywhere. And so it's so crazy. And I'm like, well, now what? Because when you're healed out of a wheelchair, people can see it, right? Right. But if you're healed of seizures that people haven't really had seen you have a seizure, then what? Well, the Lord woke me up at five o'clock in the morning and he showed me a vision that I would be talking on a microphone that day. And he told me, You're gonna share this story on the microphone because the enemy's gonna want to take it away.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And I did, and so I ended up sharing my story on the microphone, and I ended up having a bunch of people come up to me and be like, Oh, I have a miracle story, I want to be in your book and all the things. So I think that like God loves to meet us where we're at, he loves to meet us at the measure of our faith. And I spoke to anyone who would listen, He's gonna heal me, he's gonna heal me, he's gonna heal me. And then I almost missed it. So we have to be mindful of like, he's gonna give us the opportunity. But if I didn't go forward, then I wouldn't have had that. And maybe, just maybe, if I didn't have the courage to immediately share my story, then the enemy could have crept in and like taken it away. Sometimes people get healed and then they'll start to have something happen weeks later, and you have to declare that healing. You have to not let the enemy we're way in there. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Well, and I it just you know reminds me so much of just you in general. I don't know your whole story, but I know from what I know that you continue to say yes to God and you continue to take steps forward that maybe don't make sense on paper, right? Right, they just don't necessarily make sense. And you gave that person who was there opportunity as well to share their story by you sharing your story, because I think sometimes did you have any fear about going back and sharing your story on the microphone, or was there just a few pathways?

SPEAKER_00

I I was nervous, but nowadays, like people always ask me, Do you get nervous when you go to preach or whatever? I feel like at this point, I get nervous about one thing, and it's that I won't get the microphone. Really? Yeah, because I just gotta share about God. I I want to live behind a microphone. And just preach. That's just my favorite place to be now is behind a microphone and just sharing and saying yes to God, and no matter how scary it is. They used to not be that way, but now I mean, you know, I just got back from the Dominican Republic. I was, I'll be honest, I was nervous preaching there. There was one night where I was like, I don't know what God wants me to preach. I turned to my friend in the middle of worship and said, I've changed my mind 17 times and I'm trying to figure out what story God wants me to share. And I literally am about to get up there and I have no idea what he wants from me. And she looked at me and laughed and goes, That's awesome. Yeah. And guess what happened, Kristen? I got up and literally said like five words. I ended up not preaching at all. A girl shared her testimony of having depression and anxiety, and Lord said, Go. And I said, You're gonna come forward right now. If you had depression and anxiety, God's gonna heal you. And nobody was coming forward, but I'm very insistent. I said, Come, come. I just kept going, come forward, come forward, come forward. And eventually, nine girls came forward and prayed over them. God was healing them. And then it was the next thing, the next thing, the next thing. I think every person in that place got a touch from the Lord. And so now we joke. Remember that one time you preached five words? Right. So I was nervous about what I was going to share at that thing, but I just feel like the Lord just keeps laughing at me. Like, why are you nervous? You didn't have to, all you had to do was say five words. And then I had no interpreter. I was laying hands on people who did not even know what I was saying. But God just moves when he moves, and we just have to be brave enough to get out of his way. And sometimes being brave means being on the microphone when you don't know what he wants to say.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I mean, what would you say to somebody who maybe I don't know? I feel like somebody's listening in that just doesn't

Fear Of People And Bold Obedience

SPEAKER_02

want to speak on a microphone or speak or maybe start a podcast because they feel like they have to have everything perfectly in order. Have you seen beyond this time where you were just like, I don't know what I'm gonna say? How many times have you shown up and opened your mouth and miracles, signs, and wonders happened?

SPEAKER_00

Just like more and more all the time. This is what I say to somebody is write this down. If you're listening, write it down, put it on your wall. It's leave the how to God. Every thing that he's done in my ministry over the last six years, and we haven't even started the beginning of my story. I am the most accidental minister you've ever met. And every time he's asked me to do something bolder and bigger, I've been terrified. I a year ago got sephary and delivered a fear of man. I was ministering in rooms and I was ministering at events, and it's this thing now. I pray for people and they fall over and like I'm like, what is happening? I've seen this, I've laid hands on thousands and thousands of people, and still being like, okay, it's okay in this room, Kristen, but it better not ever be on video on social media. And I never want my high school friends to know that I do this. And even walking in it for five years, you guys, it was only a year ago. In the middle of the event, power of God came on me and I was bawling and I publicly apologized that I teach people not to be afraid. It was a speaker conference, Kristen, because I teach people to be stage speakers. And I was teaching it and even holding back like a 10% and being afraid that people might see what I do in rooms on social media. And so, what did I do now? I flipped the script, and my whole thing is okay, I'm it's time for people to see what happens in the rooms on social media. And I'm now believing for the Lord to heal people in a 30-second reel and to just be out there. And so I'm almost like I'm doing penance for hiding for those five years while preaching and laying hands and coaching, but still going, this is fine as long as it's in this room and nobody sees it, and we turn off the virtual people before this stuff happens. I really had a fear of man and a fear of judgment. And I've realized that that's just ridiculous. And I was getting in God's way. So when you decide to be in agreement with fear, whether it's speaking behind a microphone or not launching the podcast, you're getting in God's way. And first of all, it doesn't have to be perfect. Do it messy, do it anyway, leave the how to God, record the podcast, even if you don't know how to put it on the internet. Like just do this, do what you can do and what you know to do, and leave the how to the Lord. And He will do exceedingly abundantly more than you can imagine. We're telling my whole story in reverse. It's so funny. But I am a six-time international best-selling author. Three TV shows, multiple awards for my TV shows, millions of people have seen all of this. All from continuing, when I've said yes to the Lord, you guys, I've been on my face, bawling my eyes out, shaking, crying, saying, No, not me. I've had my Moses moment of like, I stutter, I can't go before the Pharaoh. But I just go, okay, Lord, okay, okay. If if you let me hold the hem of your garment, I'll do it and I'll do it shaking and I'll do it terrified. And every person that I've coached in every moment of my life, the more you've been afraid, the higher the cost, the higher the price, the higher he shows up. So if you're afraid, you have one choice. And I'll tell you this. It was from my five-year-old daughter. She said, Mom, do you want to know how to give the devil fear? I said, How? That's a great question. He said, You do the thing you're afraid of and it jumps off of you and goes on to the devil. And I believe there's truth in that word from a five-year-old that if you would just do the thing you're afraid of, your fear would leap off you. Go on to the devil, and the Lord would be able to use you beyond greater measure. So I say, do it with trembling, just cross the line and make a decision. Fear is like the number one thing that I preach about, Kristen, because it's in the Bible over 600 times. Fear is mentioned in the Bible over 600 times. Guys, know how many times murder is mentioned? 10. Don't kill people, it's mentioned 10 times, but don't be afraid, don't fear, doubt, worry, or tremble is 600. And so I really think that fear is a really big deal to the Lord. And fear is the number one thing that stops people from going down the path God has for him. He will find a plan B and He will find a way if you keep saying no. Moses kept saying no, so he brought in Aaron to assist him. And God will always find a way, but it depends on at what level are you willing to do the thing. And fear, I believe, fear will come upon us, and we have a choice. We can choose to be obedient and step out of the fear, or we can choose to let the fear crush us and to stay there. But fear blocks blessings from the Lord, it blocks favor, and it's disobedience because it's in his word 600 times. So take that seriously, my friend. If you've been told to do the podcast, you've been told to do the thing, and you're not because of fear. Yeah, you are literally walking in disobedience to the word of God, and you might want to stall, you might want to knock that off.

SPEAKER_02

Right. I love it. We we just gave them a little kick in the booty. I love it. Sorry, I love you. No, it's good. We I think we we need those reminders. I was actually thinking about Joshua and Caleb this morning because I feel like kind of, you know, on their team, I don't want to be part of the 10 spies network that turns around and they're like, oh, there's giants and I'm a grasshopper, right? So to be one, who is like Joshua and Caleb who walks into the promised land and sees giants but yet continues on, right? So take us back. I know we we jumped, we're we're having a fun time on an adventure with summer. Take us We're nonlinear.

RV Faith Steps Through COVID

SPEAKER_01

We're like, it's okay.

SPEAKER_02

I think it's beautiful. So let's go back to I think it's probably when I first got introduced to you. I remember watching a Facebook Live from an RV, and my friend had introduced me to you, and I was like, Oh, I love this girl. And I think you had shared a little bit of your story, and you were stepping into something that I believe was the beginning of what kind of launched you out in the multiple yes factor of summer. So tell us about that season, and you know, a lot of what you know came from, at least for most people, a lot of what come, you know, the beautiful thing that God does is He He turns things for good, right? So from that time of so much challenge and tribulations, did that like start you onto this path of this first yes? So kind of take us back to that time frame.

SPEAKER_00

It's so funny how God's like a god of order, but we only see the chaos sometimes. The first sort of big yes I gave to the Lord was I had always wanted to like, I was a homeschooling mom, and I had always wanted to take my kids in an RV, maybe for like three to six months and take them to the East Coast and you know, show them US history by going there. Go to George Washington's house, go, you know, all these places. And I thought it was something I would just do for a short season. And the Lord it this so it was in May of 2019, and I tell you that because it it predates COVID, right? And when I was in church praying, I had the Lord, okay, let's backtrack. When I was in Israel, the Lord had told me August 1st, 2020, in March of 2018, he gave me a date two and a half years early. So I knew I would go into an RV two and a half years early. So I started making all of the plans to do it, thinking it was only three to six months though. And in May of 2019, so like a year later, I'm praying at church and he kind of laughs at me and he gives me a vision and he showed me my daughter laying hands on somebody on the side of the road. And he told me, This little homeschooling adventure that you want to have is not my plan. My plan is to send your whole family into full-time ministry, and your whole family will lead people to the Lord, including your littlest children. And I'm like, What? And he said, What I want you to do is pick up your mat and walk. I want you to sell everything, have no roots, no time frame, no destination, no home to come home to, nothing. You're just gonna go. And he wouldn't tell me how long I was gonna go, he wouldn't tell me where we were gonna go. I mean, we literally like got in the RV August 1st, and there was a family reunion in Mammoth. So I knew we were going there, and then that was it. So from May until August, so what is that like 14 months? We just walked in blind obedience. And luckily, five, five days, because I was terrified to tell my husband, told my husband on a Friday, and he sent a lady who was a guest speaker on Sunday to our church, and she had a word of knowledge that a family was about to full-time RV. And she prayed over us and she just was boom, confirmation, confirmation, confirmation. So I was very, very grateful that the Lord gave undeniable confirmation for my husband because people were like, How did you get him to have the buy in? I was like, That was God, yeah. And so we made an announcement August 1st, 2019, that we were leaving in one year. We did a video, put on social media, we started selling all of our stuff. That was August 1st.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Three days later, I have my miscarriage in the hospital. Two weeks later, my whole company's stolen. So, like everything started to shift, and then we're selling things and COVID hit. And my husband did gigs in the entertainment industry because actually he was the lighting designer on Dancing with the Stars. And we had lined up like all of these things that he could do out of state, and then that's how we would have our income and travel, and so that goes away. So we now can't have garage sales to sell our stuff. My husband has no income, my company's been stolen. Like we have every reason to go, we can't do this. Right. The Lord told me that like the RV would be provided. He told so we just kept. I started doing Facebook Lives to sell my stuff, and we just kept pushing in and pushing in, knowing that we were gonna leave August 1st. During that same time frame, about end of February-ish, the Lord had told me to go Facebook Live for 91 days. The year before, I had done this Facebook Live challenge for 90 days, and I told everybody if I miss a day after start over. You guys have to hold me accountable. And he said 91 days. I'm like, ooh, like a plus one, cool. He goes, No, Psalms 91. Psalm 91, yeah. I want you to pray Psalms 91, and I want you to pray on your Facebook Live. Hey, Kristen, I had never prayed on a Facebook Live in my life. I was like, not happy. I didn't really talk about God on my Facebook. I didn't really pray on my Facebook. I had kind of kept God and my faith off of my Facebook. I hid it. Yeah, I was very like, I'm not so sure. And so he's like, You're gonna pray and read Psalms 91. And I kicked and screamed and eventually did it and told everybody, I don't know why I'm doing this. Eight days later, COVID lock-in hits, and I continue to go Facebook Live and pray, continue to do it. At day 88, the riots started, and so I told everybody I'm probably gonna go longer than 91 days. So I did 108 days of going Facebook Live and praying. And about two weeks after that, actually during that time, I finished reading the Bible cover to cover, and it took me two years. And the the Lord, as soon as I closed it, like one beat later, he's like, Great job. And remember how your goal was one year and you did it in two. I want you to do it again and hit your goal. And I, Kristen, was like, peace out. No, I'm not doing it. Like, have you ever seen how big that book is? Lord, that was a once-in-a-lifetime check box. I'm like, I'm done. Yeah, and he was relentless for like two and a half months. He's like, read it, read it, read it. So finally, I'm like, okay, I'll negotiate with God because that works. And I will do a Facebook Live and I'll find five women that will read the Bible with me to hold me accountable. And at that time, I had maybe a thousand Facebook friends, no following, no Instagram, no TikTok, no nothing. And I did a Facebook Live and was so excited that 20 women said yes, they wanted to do it. And I thought, well, that's good because five will finish. Yay! Yeah, and then they started sharing my video with their friends. And by the end of the first day, I had 200 women saying, I want to read the Bible, I want to read the Bible. And I'm like, Well, that's cool. So I put them all in a Facebook group, and then they shared it with their friends. And two and a half weeks later, we had 6,700 women in a Facebook group to read the Bible. I was one of them. And I was like, What? I had a breakdown in my bathroom on the floor, scream crying when it jumped from 2,000 to 4,000, like in a day. I was like, I can't, I can't, I can't. I I can't do this, Lord, because I'm not a pastor, I'm not a pastor's wife. I've had really there's some moments where I was very not Christian and I turned away from the Lord and I did a lot of dark things and I was into spiritualism and all this other stuff. I was like tarot cards, I was like, Whoa, I didn't some witchcraft, and I was raised Mormon. And I'm pretty sure if the Christian women hear that, they're gonna show up at my house and lynch me because that's the thing. Like I'm just not worthy. I wasn't raised in the church. Oh, and PS, I've never been in a Bible study, so I can't believe a Bible study because I have zero experience, right?

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And I don't know about you, Kristen, but like the more I freak out, the more God just comes underneath so gently. And he was like, he's like, hey, sweet girl, I know you're not a pastor's wife, I know who you are, and I know who you're not. And what you are is you're an encourage and you're a gatherer of people, and you only have one job. You do not have to interpret scripture, you just have to encourage as many women to finish as possible, and that's it. And I was like, Okay, deep breath. I can do that. How do I do that? And he gave me a vision and he said, Tell the women that you're gonna have an event at the end of the year and they can come from all over the world. Because at that point, we had like 40 countries doing it in every state. And he's like, Well, tell them they can come and you'll host a conference, and then at the end of the conference, you guys will read the end of Revelation out loud together, and everybody can finish. So that can become the like carrot in front of the horse and the encouraging thing. And so we did. We stumbled through that first year. I started getting people's emails and phone numbers halfway through because I was like, Well, I can email you what to read because they're like, What do we read today? And I'm like, I'll email you, I'll text you, we can get on a Zoom call. Yeah, so the next part that happened with that big giant guest was like, I had all the ladies buy this book because it told you what to read every day and it had journal questions, and it was really great until week five. Week five, the book jumped to Matthew, and the Lord was very adamant, cover to cover, didn't tell me why, but I knew we had to read it cover to cover, like every other book. And so I was like, I'm so sorry, ladies, we'll find a different book. And everyone looked, and Kristen, no one could find a Bible study journal that went cover to cover. It did not exist. Isn't that crazy? In all of Amazon, it did not exist. No one could find one. So we started writing our own reading plan, our own journal questions. We did those on Zoom every week. And at the end of the year, my friend was like, I think you need to release this as a book. And then all the ladies were like, Yeah, if you release it as a book, then we can use the book for year two. I'm like, What do you mean, year two? Yeah, we got to do it again because my husband wants to do it. I'm like, huh? So I did. I got help and I released the book and became an international bestseller. And then the ladies were like, wait, you need to do the book for men. And I'm like, okay. So my pastor helped me rewrite journal questions, and we came out with a men's Bible study and became an international bestseller of that one. And so we started year two, and I'm like, Okay, tell us the name of the book because somebody's probably like, What is the name of the book?

SPEAKER_02

Tell us.

SPEAKER_00

Well, the first one was called Fear into Faith. It's got 52 stories of women who have shifted

Books, Bible Journals, And TV Vision

SPEAKER_00

out of fear and walked in bold faith because I felt like the Lord was telling me the fit, my favorite thing in the Bible is the stories, right? And let's be real, there's not as many stories about women. And so I wanted to put modern day stories to encourage women. And there's women who have been in prison, women who've been trafficked. Beautiful. And then we did the men's one, and then we did a year of miracles. The newest year of miracles is the one that I usually recommend to people, year of miracles second edition, because it goes along with our TV show that we also have now. Which we'll talk about in a second, which we'll talk about in a second, but that's the best one is to get a year of miracles, and we got it translated into Spanish. So the Year of Miracles second edition is also in Spanish now. So yeah, so I did the women's, then I did the men's, then the next year they're like, when's the new one coming out? And I'm like, you don't wait, we're doing a year three, and you don't want to use the same one. No, do a new one. So then I did a new one, I did a new one, and then I did a Spanish one.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh. Okay, so I I do have to ask. So you're writing, did you ever think you'd be an author?

SPEAKER_00

You know, I actually had that that was a desire of my heart, actually, since I was like 16 years old. I I loved writing. I wrote some stories in college. So I wrote a short story that actually won some awards and stuff like that. And my grandfather started becoming an author in his 70s and had some like best-selling books. So I always in the back of my mind thought I would become an author. Never these one million years was I going to be a best-selling, five-time best-selling author of Bible study journalists.

SPEAKER_01

Bible studies.

SPEAKER_00

You know, I thought I would write like fiction fiction. Um, I liked writing fiction back then. Okay. And then the other thing that I actually wanted to do since I was like 16 is I wanted to host a talk show. I always wanted to host a talk show. I was like so fangirling over Ellen when Ellen's talk show came out. I always thought, oh man, I want to host a talk show. And so God made that happen. We can talk about that if we go forward a little bit. So after year one, the Lord said that 10,000 people would do year two, and they did. And then towards the end of year two, he's like, it's gonna be tell people there's a hundred thousand for year three. And I'm like, no. And then in the middle of year three, he goes, I need you to start telling people your mission is to get a million people to read the word of God. And I'm like, only crazy people say that. I can't say that and he's just relentless. So I started putting it out there, and I'm like, Well, apparently this is a lifetime assignment, and now my goal is to get one million people to read the Bible. And in the middle of that year three, and the other thing that we did is we had we had readers that read the Bible live every day on social media. So we had people reading live on Facebook and YouTube every day. And so people could could like read it with them or listening and driving to work and stuff. Well, this TV show producer ended up getting on a Zoom with me because somebody told her I needed to have a TV show. But I thought she was on the Zoom so I could tell her about my friend who needed to have a TV show. And so during this call, I was telling her, just like I'm telling you about the Bible challenge and all the things. And she said, You guys have been reading live on Facebook every day. And I said, Yeah. And she said, it needs to be a TV show. And the Lord just boom downloaded the blueprint for it right in that second. I saw it and I didn't even have to pray about it. I started to cry. And I was like, Yes, it's supposed to happen. And that's how we'll reach a million people. Is through TV because I didn't know how to reach a million people. I was like, what? My social media was growing a little bit, but it was like, I don't know how to do that. And so, you know how there's like audio Bibles, right? So we created the first of its kind visual telling of the entire Bible. We had 127 different people come into a green screen studio in Dallas, Texas, and read different parts of the Bible, everywhere from age eight to 88 and different nationalities, all that stuff. And so if you came in, Kristen, and you're reading about, let's say, you know, when Moses runs into the desert or whatever, we see you read. And then with video and images and sound, we see everything you're reading come to life on the side. And so we did that with the entire Bible. We also have an app and it all goes together with my book. So the Bible study journal tells you what to read, but you also can then go on the app and plug into the episode of the TV show and read that exact day's reading with the person. And then the other thing that God told me to do was to interview all of the people that came about their faith journey and why they said yes to the project and why reading the Bible is important to them. So I interviewed 127 people and also he told me to interview the people in my book. And so on Sundays, the TV show airs the miracle stories. And so we did, I don't know, it's 312 episodes of the Bible show plus 127 plus 3052. It's like 500, I think, or something.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Episodes of TV in one year by the grace of God. I don't even, I still can't believe we did it, pulled it off. What year was this? It was two years ago. And so we we did 10 years of TV in one year because when God said to do it, I started airing it when we only had like I don't know, 15 episodes banked. Yeah, so I had to continuously stay ahead of the TV programming because otherwise people were gonna be left hanging. So there was there was no way not to there was no stopping. And I started with like I knew two people that lived in Dallas. That was it. I knew two people. I called them. I'm like, can you come and could you read the Bible? And then my friend found this like social media influencer that lived around here. And then every person who came, I would ask who they knew and said, Can you get them to come? And so it was really just by two people that I knew that people started referring. And then some people like this guy had like his cousin from Scotland out of town. So she came and read, and people from Australia and so people from other countries, and there were people who flew in just to be a part of the project because they would hear about it. We ended up getting to have some like social media influencers, some famous, you know, preachers, pastors that came were on it as well. And so it just literally always was, I don't know who's coming. And then God would be like, Here's a phone call, and somebody would call me and say, I heard about your TV show, and then they would help me get 10 people, and it was just amazing to see what God would do. And then I found out last year that we had over 3 million unique viewers of the Bible TV show, and so um it's just been really crazy, and I just really want to reiterate like how many times in my journey I was really scared how I was crying out to the Lord and begging him to take it away, and every step it's been that way. And I just feel like if you're listening, you just need to know like God's so good. I've never produced a TV show. I told him, Why don't you have Dallas Jenkins do this from the chosen? Or why don't you have this person do it? And we didn't know where the money was gonna come from because it's expensive to do all that stuff. And every time when I'm like, well, we need $500 more this month to continue to air the TV show, an unexpected $500 would come in or anything. And it sounds like really fun, it almost sounds like this crazy fairy tale, but I just need you to know that like along the way, it was always a new level of refining and a new level of feeling like unworthy or imposter syndrome of just feeling like Lord, I was not raised in the church, I should not be doing this. I don't have a doctorate, I haven't studied the Bible enough, and I don't I don't want to mislead anybody, and I'm just not worthy, not worthy, not worthy.

SPEAKER_02

And that was the big lie that would come for you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I just feel like there's gotta be somebody listening, and you feel that same way, like you're not worthy, and God really just asks us to just take that bold step forward and and do it, and he'll put the words in our mouth and he'll make it happen. And so that's how we ended up with uh T three TV shows, which is just crazy. And then eventually, you know, God told me to get ordained, and I officially got ordained, and you know, now I preach and I've been blessed to preach internationally. And I just got back from leading my first uh mission team to go and do what the Lord has called me to do. So I'm getting a chance to equip people and train them up and teach them, which is just my favorite. My speaking program that I teach is really just to empower God's people to be confident speakers on and off stage so that they can minister at the level that He's called them to, and equipping people and watching my P like I had people that went out and preached for the first time in a church that were so terrified and so nervous and still about to they wanted to break my legs when I was like, You're the one doing it. They're like, no, no, no, not me, not me. But the Lord just kept saying, Tell them they're doing it, tell them they're doing it, and don't take a no. And so my yes has been able to turn into a platform and an opportunity for other people to step into their yes, so you just never know what God has behind your yes, and it's just always not about you. And I'll tell you, one of my biggest fears, Kristen, I don't usually talk about this, so somebody's somebody needs to hear this. I pray they message you and say it was me or message you. One of my biggest things, too, was I've never wanted people to think that this was about me. And I've never wanted people to think the TV show about me or the books or anything, and it's always like, I just want to get out of the Lord's way. And he also just needs a willing vessel. And so I had to realize that there's always gonna be people in my life that are gonna figure out how to make this about summer or whatever, but there's no way for me to be his voice without being me. And so there had to be that surrender of people are gonna know your name, people are gonna want your autograph on on your book or any of those things, and just being able to sit with the Lord and know my heart's pure and my intentions are pure. I'm not about fame and fortune, so I can go buy a Lamborghini. You know, I had a lot of great success as a speaker and a coach, and you know what I did? I put every dime of profit into creating the three TV shows, not to then buy a bigger, better house. And so, like, I know with every favor that he's given me and door that he's opened and seven-figure businesses and all the things, I've just been able to then sew more back into the kingdom, scholarship people to go on the mission trip or other things. And so if you're listening, and and maybe that's been your fear too, is you don't want people to think you have pride or you have an ego or it's about you. People are gonna think those things kind of anyway. And you have to make a decision to go before the Lord and know that your heart is pure and step up and be it, and it's okay. Like I'm I'm now okay. I'm okay to be famous for Jesus because that we live in a society where a level of those things, you know, having a too comma cub a word on my wall that if people know that, they know if we've made a million dollars on our funnel. It means something to people, it doesn't really mean anything to me, but it means something to people, and then I feel like your prayers just land a little bit more. There's just something about that, there's something about our society, and and and and you can fight against it all you want, but there's something about fame and fortune and seeing Justin Bieber sing worship, a little more exciting than seeing just somebody you don't know sing worship. It's it's how our culture is wired, and I had to stop fighting against that and go, it's okay to be the crazy loud blonde woman who has pink in her hair and pink earrings and jumps around stage because the people in the Dominican Republic they loved it. And the guy said, We need the blonde pink lady, like to come and preach again. And it's just like, okay, Lord, I will be a shiny object for Jesus if it means people turn to look and I can get Jesus all over them, and I can get them to read the Bible because that's my heart. The bottom of everything I do is everyone's supposed to read the Bible. And Kristen, I have to tell you because my new mission that started like after the team, what's next? The Lord said, Well, I was at a conference and you had to write down your goals. And I always write one million people to read the Bible, and I wrote one billion people to read the Bible, and I went, What the heck? And I crossed out the B and I put a big M to like five times, and then the Lord was like, That's cute. I was like, that was an accident. He goes, Was it? And I was like, No, no, no, no, no, no, no. And he's like, Sweet girl, you've been misspelling a really important word for quite some time. You can't spell billion

One Billion Readers And Practical Habits

SPEAKER_00

with an M, and you cannot change the fabric and DNA of planet Earth with just a million people reading the Bible. So I need you to tell anyone who will listen that your ministry is to get one billion people to read the word of God because our TV show is called the Global Bible Revival, because we have to have a revival of the word, especially in the US. We were founded on the word of God. We had people who left their country so they could found on in God we trust. And we have come so far from that, and we have to get back to our biblical roots, and we have to have one billion people read God's word. It is the undeniable most successful book ever written. Most copies sold, most languages translated, the end, and people will go see the number one movie that week. Well, every person, even if you think it's just a bunch of fairy tales, great. You learn things from fairy tales, you learn things from movies, go read the Bible for yourself and see what God wants to say about it. And that's all. I'm not, we're non-denominational, we're we don't care which version of the Bible you read. Right, just want every person living and breathing to read God's word for themselves.

SPEAKER_02

So good. Because I you just answered the question that I was gonna ask because I I thought somebody might be asking, well, which which version of the Bible should I be reading? Do you get a lot of those questions?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and on our TV show, I was very strategic. We had all the different versions read, we didn't stick with just one because I didn't want anyone who just really loves King James to feel like we didn't honor King James. You know, there are some people who really believe in a certain translation for themselves, and that's great. And I have people who get mad at me sometimes that I don't say a specific version, but I'm just about people encountering God. And and if I tell somebody this is the only version to read, and they never read the Bible, I don't, I kind of I'm like, something's wrong with that. And I myself have read, I've read I read it every year. I'm finishing my sixth time. I read it once before everybody, and then the year of the TV show, I didn't read it with everybody because I God had me in so much detail to fine-tune the different books. I feel like I I learned so much more about the Bible that year with how he had me dive in to structure the TV show. And so I'm finishing my sixth time, and I think I've read one of them twice. So I've read like five different versions of the Bible now, and that's kind of what I'm doing now is reading different versions every time I read it just to see what God has for me. So, no, just read whatever version you want to read. Yeah, just read it, just read it, just read it. And also, I have stuff like on my YouTube. If if people go to summer day D E Y on my YouTube, I have some videos that like talk about how to read it. Okay, and I really think everyone should read it cover to cover. I've recently discovered through some people that have tried to do that with me, if you've never experienced the Bible at all, at all, at all. I actually think the best place to start is the New Testament and read the gospels and read all the beautiful stories about Jesus. That's where I now tell people to start is read the gospels of Jesus and then start over, and then start in Genesis. And if all of that seems so overwhelming and is too much for you, and honestly, it's 15 to 20 minutes a day, six days a week, we'll get you through the Bible in a year. It's not that much, it's not that much at all. But if that seems overwhelming, the way that I developed my habit to be in the Bible consistently was my mentor said, read Proverbs every day. So, like today's July 29th. So you sit down and you just read July 29th, you just read Proverbs 29th. And let's say you forget to read for a week. Okay, it's August 7th. You just sit down and read Proverbs 7. So you're never feeling like you have to catch up or anything, but it's about developing the daily habit and discipline of being in the word. And they've studied the brain, and there's like you can see this study that they did when you read the Bible four or more days a week for 15 minutes or more, it like does stuff to the chemistry of your brain. It's so cool. And so I just want people to be in the word more than they ever have. If it takes you 10 years to get through the Bible the first time, I will so high-five you. Like, it's okay. We've had people who are trying their sixth time with me, they have not been able to do it. And we also have people who are literally, they're on their sixth time, they've done it every year. I have ladies who have done this every year for six years with you. Yes. And I'm like, what? And they're like, I'm gonna do this every year till God calls me home. And we've also had women like in their 70s who for 50 years tried to read the Bible, and it wasn't until our challenge that they were able to do it by having the level of accountability and support and resources that we have. And so if you want to join people from all over the world, yeah, we're launching again. I think it's September 21st, is the official launch of year seven. And Kristen, I'll get you the

Faith On Fire And Equipping Others

SPEAKER_00

website for that. I think fearindofaith.com, you can sign up to get like the emails or texts or stuff like that. But if you want to officially start and do it with thousands of people all over the world and then come together at the end, that's what we do every year.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, remember the come together at the end is your conference, and you still conference, and I think it's coming up soon, maybe.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, we have our end of the year of end of the year six. It's called Faith on Fire.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And it's open to everybody. I would say maybe 20% of the people who come are finishing the Bible with us. 80% are people who have either been or they've heard about it from a friend. But the conference, I don't like calling it a conference. Honestly, Christian, it there's nothing what's the name that we should call it for it's called Faith on Fire. I I say it's a three-day experience with the Lord. It's three days of encounter, it's a journey. It's a journey, it's not like a conference where you're like, oh, well, what time is so-and-so speaking? I'm gonna come to that and I'm gonna rest in the day and just come to the evening session. No, we go all day, every day, three days in a row, and it is a journey that sets people's faith on fire. The number one goal is for every person there to encounter the Lord in such a profound next level way that it's just an undeniable experience that no one can ever take away. When you encounter the Lord in a corporate encounter, it doesn't mean you can't encounter the word alone in your bedroom. I do it all the time. But there's something powerful about coming together as a community, coming together as a body and having those corporate encounters. And sadly, I when I lived in an RV and I traveled for three years, I went to church everywhere. And there's a lot of places where there's not encounters of God in the church, and people are not experiencing that. And I've seen preachers 55 years they've been preaching, encounter God like in the room. God is it doesn't, he's he doesn't care who it is, and that's my prayer for every person who comes is that you are going to have this three-day experiential journey with the Lord that changes you forever, you're never the same, and your faith is set on fire like it's never been before.

SPEAKER_02

Amen. So good. Remind us when is this coming up?

SPEAKER_00

September 17th through the 19th. And the website's faithonfire live.com. FaithonfireLive.com. We have a virtual option every year. And don't do it, just come in person. We've had people come from South Africa, we've had people come from Australia, we've had people come from Canada, Mexico, we've had people come from all over, and I'll just tell you virtual, great, better than nothing. But the encounters in the room are just 100x. They're 100x. And I had ladies the first year, they drove Kristen 44-0, 40 hours from Canada to come. 40 hours to be in the room for less than that to drive 40 hours back. And they actually, I found out later, didn't even have gas money to get back. They went out on such faith, and they would all tell you it radically changed their life. And somebody came up, I think they gave them like $200 cash. They're like, the Lord told me I'm supposed to give this to you, and that was their gas money to get home. So I know that there's no excuse. And whatever you sacrifice, whatever you sacrifice, God meets you at that level. So if you come and you don't have gas money to get home, I'm gonna be like, Great, let's watch and see what God does for you because He will always exceed, He will always exceed your expectations. So it's amazing. It's like my favorite thing is our conference and how just I don't know. I've been doing personal development business conference. I've I've been doing this stuff for decades. I feel like I've been to everything, I've seen everything, and there's nothing like faith on fire. There's just nothing like it, it doesn't exist. You know what I feel like is missing in the church is the how, right? Like our course is gonna teach you how to forgive because every church I go to, the pastor says you need to forgive, and Jesus tells you to forgive, and people don't know how. And I teach you have to step out of fear, and people don't know how. I have a literal formula called the fear into faith formula that will teach you how to do it. And all of the speakers that we get that come are so anointed, and we teach you the how of faith. That is what you don't find anywhere else, and it's because my background was business, and when you go to a business conference, there's worksheets on how to launch a podcast, right? They give you the how, and you leave with a blueprint for your business, whatever it is that you want to do. And all of these things that I went to in churches, I just felt like no one's teaching the blueprint, they're not giving you here you go, here is the how. And so that's what we do at Faith on Fire. We're gonna teach you the how, and then you're gonna encounter the Lord, it's gonna anchor in the next level of faith for you, and then we give people opportunities to walk it out with our other conference equipping the saints, coaching programs, and then mission trips now.

SPEAKER_02

And and now they're asking for another one, kind of like your first group, your first Bible study. I know that people are just asking for more.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're probably gonna do two mission trips next year because there's already so many people who didn't get to go that want to go, and the people who all went are are all like, I want to go on the next one.

SPEAKER_02

So you'll have to let us know.

SPEAKER_00

Like if you have uh information about that for people who'd want to hear more about it, or even just share, like it's probably going to be a requirement that you have to attend Faith on Fire, maybe not in person, but at least virtual, in order to go on our mission trip. Because really, what God has called me to do is to equip the saints for the work of the kingdom, and everything that I do is for that. So if you're listening to this and you know that like you want to walk in miracles, signs, and wonders, you want to lay hands on people and see people get out of wheelchairs and stuff like that, then you want to go to Faith on Fire and be there in the room because that is what God's doing is He's using that event, and then our next one, which is called Equipping the Saints, where we train on the prophetic, we train on deliverance, but also. I train on personal development skills, business skills, so all kinds of stuff to equip you to God can use every anyone, God can use anyone anytime. I told you, He used me to preach five words and then revival broke out in the kid. I didn't have to say anything. But I also know that if God wants to use someone to do worship, and that young lady has studied piano for 10 years and taken voice classes and all of that, there's a lot more to work with there. And so I tell everybody all believers should study speaking skills so that you know how to tell your story and your testimony in a way that will read to people because storytelling is an art and not everyone's good at it. And that will help you when you minister. Learning personal development and people skills so that you understand people at a higher level helps you when you go to minister to them. Can God use anybody? Yes. But can He use people potentially more when they've studied and they've trained and they've gotten equipped and now they're confident because a lot of it is confidence. And that's what we help people grow. Grow in their confidence as a minister, go in their confidence as a prayer warrior, grow in their confidence to go preach the gospel in the nations. And that's probably the biggest thing that I say I give as a coach, as a preacher. I'm just all about helping people to have the confidence to then go and do what God's called them to do.

SPEAKER_02

Oh well, I just love everything you've shared today. What's what's your next stretch beyond what you've already been stretched? Do you know what your next stretch is?

SPEAKER_00

Like are you gonna have a movie? Are you what's next? Definitely the Lord has a documentary that he is brewing for sure. I've actually had two people that two two companies interested in a documentary on my story, but that's not what I was talking about. There's another avenue. Um, we raise a lot of money for trafficking, and I believe there's a documentary, and it's kind of in regards to that. To we educate people at our events, we have panels called what trafficking is and what it isn't. We have people who've been trafficked, tell their testimony. So there's areas of over there that I believe there's documentaries and things, but my next stretch, I feel like I just finished my stretch to be. And you know, I'm a mom first, but as soon as they're out of high school, like I'm just I would love to just go to a different country every month. I really love being on foreign soil, and I loved, I loved watching our people grow in their confidence, lay hands on people. I mean, every person who went with us ministered at a higher level than they had before, and they all have their stories that they could share in your podcast where they're gonna cry about feeling overwhelmed to be used by the Lord. I think so many believers they want to be used by the Lord.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And when I've been on mission trips, I've seen things that I felt like were missing, just like how in the church, I think what's missing is the how. I would love to see pastors actually give homework. Like your homework this week to grow in your walk with the Lord is this. There's a lot of things that the Lord has shown me that I feel like there's parts of the church model that's broken. We know the church model's broken because of the 20 million people that have walked away, and we've got to change things. The other thing, if you're a pastor listening, that I just tell any pastor to change is stop asking people to come forward for prayer. Everyone needs prayer. Triple your prayer team and then tell people we're gonna come to you, we're gonna lay hands on everyone. If you have to leave, that's fine. We'll see you next week. But we're not gonna leave until every person here has had their them that has had prayer because people are not coming forward that are struggling with pornography addiction, moms whose kids are struggling with drugs aren't coming forward. There's so many people broken and hurting in the pews, and they are not going to come forward, and you need to go to them. So I feel like there's tools and things that the Lord has blessed me with that, even with these ministry trips that I've been able to train our people to minister at a higher level. And I I don't want anyone to feel like this is not condemnation, there's no condemnation in Christ, not knocking other mission trips or other churches. You know, being a pastor is just one of the most thankless, challenging jobs on the planet. And also, I've just seen things and I feel like I get to call people to lay hands and pray more. And so our other event, equipping the saints that we do, we're getting to do that. And I feel like that's the new stretch is the duplication of what God has allowed me to walk in, the duplication of raising up confident people that are going to minister outside the box, not to necessarily have it look a certain way, kind of like your podcast, right? Yeah, and and and go with confidence in into whatever area that is. So I think that's my next stretch is this mission trip thing and leading more people and equipping them at a higher level. It's really what I want to do. I want to equip people more.

SPEAKER_02

I I see a book out of that. Equipping equipping the saints, like truly. Yeah, I know you've probably got volumes in you.

SPEAKER_00

I do, I do, and I'm really like pressing into the Lord to release a new book in September and hoping that that He comes alongside of that vision to do it because there, yeah, there's a lot of books that I want to release. I just I love teaching people. I've always had a gift since I was little to teach people, but nothing has been as rewarding as teaching people how to walk in their spiritual gifts, seeing my team. And there was a night that night when I said preached five words. I was so covered by my team that suddenly everyone was praying for people, but I didn't release them. I found out later that so-and-so told the people in the front, start doing this. And then my friend went in the back and was like, You got her, you got her, you got her. But I never had to do any of that. I I was I had such an amazing team that when they saw me occupied over here, they immobilized. And it was beautiful, and it was very united, and it was very Holy Spirit-led, and it was so obvious that evening, even and and none of them had translators. I think that's the other thing about getting people on foreign soil is when you pray for somebody and they don't even know what you're saying, right? And they're moved and they're healed. There's no way it's not God. There's no way. I had a four-year-old little girl in a village where they were all dancing, skipping, having fun, running around like um London bridges falling down. And I started laying hands on some of them. And then when it was over, I had a four-year-old girl stay with my hand on her forehead and not leave for like 30 minutes. And then another four-year-old girl halfway through came. So I had two four-year-old girls that stayed in the presence of the Lord while everybody else in the village is skipping and playing soccer, and tons of kids came to try to distract them. But when the glory of the Lord fell on them, they didn't want to leave. They did not want to leave. One of the four-year-old girls ended up with tears streaming down her face. So people can't tell me that the presence of God is not real. Because why else would two four-year-olds stay right there while I we prayed? We sang, we prayed in tongues, we sang worship songs, and they never, ever, ever left. And one of them's crying, and they don't know exactly what's going on, but they know that they know that they that they know, and so many things like that, because of the language barrier, you just know it's the Lord, it's a hundred percent him, and we just have to be willing to say yes. So I think that's why my heart now missions is it helps people to get out of their own way, and also I feel like if you're on foreign soil, you might not be worried about being embarrassed. Nobody's gonna like those people that might find out what you're doing. Yeah, like me, like I was, because I was doing mission trips and didn't want people to know what was happening. I didn't want people to know that like I do deliverance or prophesy, or you know, nope, it's okay. Let's just keep that all hidden. I do Bible studies, that's it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, just leaking level, like continue to take you know these huge steps. It's like walking up a staircase, you know, each year there's more, there's more, there's more. Thank you so much for sharing everything you've shared today. Again, if you could just share, like, what is the best way for people to get in touch with you? And then I'll put everything in the show notes. If somebody wanted to reach out to you personally, is that something that you're ever open to?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, they can send an email to support at summerday.com and day is spelled D E Y. Okay. That's how the cool kids spell it. So support at summerdey.com. And then, you know, I have a lot of training videos and stuff on my YouTube. If they go to summerday on YouTube, they can find my YouTube channel, summerday.com is my website that has all the information about all of our different stuff. And then don't forget, if you're listening, like the power to forgive course, that is just like my heart now to see people get healed from unforgiveness. I'm gonna tell you my first trip to the Dominican Republic. The very first woman that I saw get healed, she came forward for stomach

Dominican Republic Healing And Final Prayer

SPEAKER_00

pain. And as soon as she came forward, the Lord told me it was unforgiveness and it was bitterness, and to ask her who she needed to forgive. I had a translator for that one. And it turns out it was like her husband, and she shared all this stuff and she's crying. And I asked her how long ago did her pain start? Eight years ago. When did the stuff happen with your husband? Eight years ago, and all I did was I ended up grabbing her and holding her. She's bawling and bawling, and she's heaving sobs and shaking. And I just kept singing, just all singing gently over her. I didn't have to, you know. Sometimes you see like pastors like, Come out in Jesus' name. I didn't have to do that. That doesn't, I'm not knocking that. I'm just saying in that moment, yeah, I didn't have to do that. I just kept saying, Hallelujah, glory to God. And God just encountered her. And then when I let her go, I said, Can you ask her what her pain's at? And she starts freaking out, and she's jumping up and down, and she's saying, No pain, no pain, no pain. Oh my gosh. So her pain completely left by walking her through this process of unforgiveness. And so I know how important and how powerful that course is. On a side note, Kristen, I just found out like a month ago, I didn't know because I moved on to pray for other people. I didn't know that lady was not a believer in Jesus. And after that encounter, people from my team stepped in and I didn't know that then they led her to the Lord. And I'm like, what a beautiful gift. Because no one can tell that woman that God's not real with how she just got completely healed in the moment, and then she accepted Jesus.

unknown

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00

All through just seeing her and asking her who she needed to forgive.

SPEAKER_02

And you know, the the thing that I'll I want to kind of leave us with too is one of the things I love to say is that your yes has generational implications. That's good. Truly, right? Your yes, listeners, your yes has generational implications. That's good. Just think of this woman. You don't you you may not even know, like if she has I don't know, does she have children possibly? And the trajectory of their new life and then the people that they run into. It's it's beautiful for the one, right?

SPEAKER_01

So good.

SPEAKER_02

Well, before I let you go, I would love to ask, is there any just very shortly, any other words of wisdom or encouragement that you'd want to share with the listeners today? Oh, that one, that one that you've been guests pray. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'd just like to pray. Yes, Father, we just thank you and praise you for this podcast, this hope unlocked. We thank you for Kristen's yes, Father, and and her surrendered heart to it doesn't have to look like anything else, Father. And so I just thank you and praise you for that, Lord. And I just ask for more favor in the name of Jesus, just upon her podcast, Father, upon her voice, Father. I thank you and praise you for new doors open, Father, for the book that she's gonna write, Father. I thank you just for everything that she's uh saying yes to and pouring her heart into, Father. And I just thank you for every person who has listened this whole time, Father, praying that their hope is unlocked from my testimony and that if they hear anything, they just hear, give God your yes. And the bigger the sacrifice and the bigger the yes, the more that you will show up, Father. And I thank you for how you will show up in their life, Father. And I pray for anybody that that maybe wasn't sure that they should walk through that forgiveness course, Lord, that you would convict them to do it and they would do it and they would see it through and they would do all of the exercises, Father, and that you would heal them. I pray that if there's anyone listening right now and and they have stomach pain and they're like, wait a second, what I've had stomach pain, that that you would give them a word of knowledge that perhaps it's it's unforgiveness and that's what's walking through to them, Father. I know you're a God of miracles and you want to heal, Father. And so I just ask you to lead people to that so that you could heal their hearts, Father. So much of my ministry, I've seen miracle signs and wonders, and you've always brought it back to healing their hearts first, Father. So we ask you in the name of Jesus that you would heal hearts, Father. You would heal hearts through this, Father. And I just pray as we talked about depression, anxiety, seizures, trauma, all of that, Father, that if there's anyone listening and they've been walking through this, Father, you in the Dominican Republic, you were healing people before they could get to the altar for prayer. So, Father, I'm believing for healing of people with depression, anxiety, trauma, panic, and seizures in the name of Jesus, Father. I'm believing that if they have listened to this testimony this far, Father, that you have already begun to heal them in the name of Jesus, Father. So we just say, be healed, be healed, that depression, anxiety, trauma, panic, seizures is not your portion. And that we declare Jeremiah 29, 11 over them, Father, that you have plans for them to prosper and not to harm them, to give them a hope and a future, Father. So we thank you and praise you that for the mighty works that you're doing in this episode, Father, in this podcast, in this world for such a time as this. Father, I just impart boldness and courage behind every yes that's said today, every yes from every listener, Father. I impart new levels of boldness and courage because your word says that we can impart that which has been given to us, Father. So thank you for the boldness and courage in your hand upon my life, Lord. And I impart that to anyone listening in the name of Jesus. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for their yes and for the bold and incredible things that that will be behind their yes in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen.

SPEAKER_02

Summer, we could we'll have to have you on again. Like I feel like there's so much more we could talk about. Thank you so much for being on today. I will be back with another episode next week. Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

And I hope that people will go to the Faith on Fire Live website. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Everything in the show notes. Get in the room, especially if you know if your spirit was lighting up over this getting equipped thing, then I believe you're supposed to be there and you're supposed to be in the room to get equipped, to go out on the next mission trip, to do all those things. God's just blessed me with such a clear path of how to do that now. And so get in the room. If you're like, what's my next step? We'll walk through the forgiveness course, and then I'll see you in September and we'll see what God has on the other side of that. Awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I'll have all the information in the show notes. Definitely check it out, everybody. And I'll be back next week.

unknown

Bye.
